The clock doesn't stop
at the weekend.
Deliveries do not always politely fall inside office hours, and weekends and bank holidays are covered just like any other day when you need them.
When the calendar gets in the way
Plenty of important deliveries land on the days most networks wind down. A part needed before Monday's shift, a weekend event, or a job that simply cannot wait until the holiday passes all share the same problem: the standard week has closed for business.
That gap is exactly where cover around the clock, every day of the year, earns its keep. A Saturday, a Sunday or a bank holiday is treated like any other day, so the question becomes how to move the load rather than whether anyone is available to move it.
Why dedicated suits quiet days
Shared networks tend to thin out at weekends, with fewer collections, slimmer sortation and longer gaps between movements. A parcel dropped into that system on a Friday afternoon can sit untouched until the network properly wakes up again.
A dedicated direct vehicle does not depend on any of that. One job per vehicle means the driver collects and delivers regardless of the day, with no depot needing to be open and no co-loading to wait on. The weekend simply does not slow the run.
Plan ahead where you can
Round-the-clock cover does not mean every weekend job has to be last-minute. If you can see a Saturday delivery or a bank-holiday deadline coming, flagging it a little ahead gives more room to plan the route and confirm access at both ends.
Where it genuinely is urgent, that is fine too, and the vehicle can be arranged quickly. Either way you get live tracking and photo proof of delivery, so a weekend job carries exactly the same reassurance as a weekday one.
Booking out of hours
Pricing stays straightforward whatever the day. Short local same-day work often starts from around fifteen pounds, and longer journeys are priced on the route, with a fixed quote before the driver sets off so a weekend rate never catches you out.
For overnight deadlines around a weekend, timing is everything. Our overnight courier service moves the load through the quiet hours so it is in place by the time you need it, holiday or not.
