What is an
AOG courier?
AOG stands for aircraft-on-ground — and it's one of the most time-critical jobs in transport.
What AOG means
AOG — aircraft-on-ground — is the aviation term for an aircraft that can't fly until a part is fitted. Every hour it sits is lost capacity and disrupted schedules, so the part that fixes it is treated as the highest priority there is.
An AOG courier moves that part the instant it's released, on a dedicated vehicle, by the most direct route — supplier or MRO straight to the airport or aircraft stand.
How the service works
AOG work runs 24/7/365, because grounded aircraft don't wait for office hours. The courier collects from the stores, supplier or maintenance facility and drives direct — airport-to-airport or supplier-to-stand — with no depots and no co-loading.
Aerospace also demands documentation: an unbroken, recorded chain of custody from collection to the aircraft, and airside-aware handling where required.
Why dedicated is the only option
A shared network simply can't serve AOG — the part can't risk sitting in a hub. A dedicated vehicle carrying only your consignment, tracked the whole way, is the only way to give a grounded aircraft a reliable time back in the air.
